On the 29th of October 2004 at the 3rd Slovak Conference of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback held in Rimavska Sobota, a group of therapists - Pavel Krivulka, PhDr., Zdena Kubisova, PhDr., Eugen Cizek, PhDr. and Maria Plavkova, M.D. established “The Slovak Association for Biofeedback and Neuroregulation“,
witch now has 60 members.
Our mission
The Slovak Association for Biofeedback and Neuroregulation (SABN) is a non-profit association of neurofeedback and biofeedback therapists, trainers and other specialists who work with methods of applied psychophysiology. SABN, which unifies psychologists, psychotherapists, medical doctors, speech therapists and special educationists has the following goals :

to support expansion, loading and effective application of neurofeedback and biofeedback methods as non-invasive and non-pharmacological training approaches, that are powerful preventive and therapeutical tools

to organize education and training in applied psychophysiology methods

to inform public and patients about neurobiofeedback

to inform educationists , medical doctors and social specialists about the effectiveness of these methods in repairing and treating various neuropsychological disorders, psychophysiological dysfunctions and psychosocial stress - related disorders

to hold specialized seminars, trainings and workshops about applied Psychophysiology with emphasis on mastering the anxiety, depression and stress - relieving techniques

enforcement of self-regulating methods in solving health problems using the framework of Behavioral medicine and “mind-brain-body“ approach

to supervise ethical, professional and vocational standards of neurofeedback and biofeedback therapists according to the Statute and Ethical principles of SABN
